| What's new at Harper Aircraft?
I have been building an amphibious float plane for Mr. John Hansen. I took the B-model airframe and adapted fiberglass floats with retractable landing gear to fit. The engine is new too! It is a V-twin 4 stroke with 1000 CC of displacement. I have developed a belted reduction drive for the engine. It runs at 1.57 to one reduction. The fuel consumption is less than the 503 Rotax with about the same thrust.
